Future Codex Architecture
The archive may eventually grow beyond Steinmetz into a wider research library for classical electrical science, alternative cosmology, field interpretations, geometry, and disputed models. That future is exciting, but the current priority remains the Steinmetz archive.
This page records the architecture principle now so the system can grow without mixing sources, claims, and interpretations.
Primary Rule
Section titled “Primary Rule”Source isolation comes before synthesis.
Every claim should carry enough metadata to answer:
- Who said it?
- In what source?
- On what page or in what claim?
- Is it an explicit source claim, modern explanation, mathematical reconstruction, historical note, interpretive reading, speculative connection, or unresolved question?
- Has it been verified against a scan or authority record?
Future Collection Shape
Section titled “Future Collection Shape”The future platform can become a multi-collection codex while keeping Steinmetz as its own complete research domain.

Section titled “Claim Metadata Model”{ "claim_id": "example-claim-id", "person_id": "charles-proteus-steinmetz", "collection_id": "steinmetz", "source_id": "theory-calculation-transient-electric-phenomena-oscillations", "source_location": { "chapter": "Chapter 1", "page": null, "claim_or_figure": null }, "claim_type": "explicit_source_claim", "interpretation_layer": "steinmetz_original", "confidence": "needs_scan_verification", "crosslinks": [ "concepts/transient-phenomena", "concepts/distributed-constants" ]}Attribution Layers
Section titled “Attribution Layers”When multiple figures address the same concept, a mature concept page should keep the voices separate:
- Steinmetz explicitly states
- Tesla explicitly states
- Walter Russell explicitly states
- Eric Dollard explicitly states
- Ken Wheeler explicitly states
- Modern scientific view
- Mathematical reconstruction
- Interpretive synthesis
- Speculative or unresolved notes
The synthesis layer can be bold, but it must never pretend to be a source quotation.
Steinmetz-First Milestone
Section titled “Steinmetz-First Milestone”Before the wider codex becomes active, the Steinmetz collection should reach these minimum conditions:
| Condition | Required State |
|---|---|
| Bibliography | Major Steinmetz books and core papers are inventoried, acquired where possible, and status-labeled. |
| Patents | Patent register is expanded beyond examples and authority-checked. |
| Core theory | AC, transient, hysteresis, symbolic method, field, dielectric, and lightning/surge sections have source-grounded pages. |
| Diagrams | Original figures and redraws are tied to source files, page references, and concepts. |
| Math | Canonical equations preserve Steinmetz notation and provide modern translations. |
| Interpretation | Ether-field readings remain visibly separate from historical fact and modern engineering explanation. |
Long-Term Name Candidates
Section titled “Long-Term Name Candidates”The current public face remains Steinmetz Decoded. A future umbrella could use a broader name such as:
- Recovered Science Archive
- Classical and Etheric Science Codex
- True Model Research Library
- Research Codex Engine
The final name can wait. The source model should be right first.
